Thursday, November 2, 2006 Furniture and More Finishing

Hardwood flooring was continued from Wednesday night through early Thursday morning.  Exterior brick was completed as well as the landscaping of the back yard.  When the word came from the production crew, we started moving in the new furniture for the home.  The designers then entered to start the long task of decorating each room.  The family will arrive home tomorrow, and we can't wait! Wednesday, November 1, 2006 Inside Paint, Trim and other Finishes

All day carpenters worked putting in the trim and cabinets.  Interior rooms were painted, floors installed, and many other specialty items were placed.  The call for masons went out to help with the cultured stone and brick. Click here to see pictures from Wednesday.

Tuesday, October 31, 2006 Interior Work Begins

Workers continue finishing the exterior of the house, adding siding and stonework. Inside, plumbing, electricity, and walls go up. Click here to see pictures from Tuesday.

Monday, October 30, 2006 The house is framed and roofed

After tearing down the house on Sunday it was time to start building the new Machacek-Fullerton home. Hartland Homes employees and other volunteers hit the ground running and started framing the new house. Click here to see pictures from Monday.

Sunday, October 29, 2006 Braveheart Charge and Demolition

Hundreds of people, including Hartland Homes employees, partners and volunteers wearing blue Extreme Makeover:Home Edition t-shirts joined Ty Pennington and the entire Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team to charge toward the Machacek-Fullerton family home in the symbolic gesture of power and unity that has become the show's trademark. Once there the team immediately began to demolish the existing house to make way for the Machacek's and Fullerton's new home. Click here to see pictures from Sunday.

Friday, October 27, 2006 Door Knock Day

The quiet community of Havelock was awakened this morning with "Good Morning Machacek and Fullerton Families," as Ty Pennington and the rest of the crew from ABC Television's reality-hit, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition came to Lincoln , Nebraska. After the door knock, the family met the design team and even played a little street hockey with John and Preston . Before being whisked away to the airport in a hummer limo, the family and the Hartland Homes team introduced themselves and exchanged hugs, tears of joy and words of thanks.
