Annually Hartland Homes employees donate to Lincoln 's KFOR Operation Santa Clause, Cedars Youth Services, Home Builders Association's Santa Cop Program and the Salvation Army, in an effort to make the holidays brighter for the children of Lincoln .

Below is a letter we received from Kenny and Teresa Machacek one year after the build.
“Rock solid from the foundation to the shingle at the highest peak that’s what our Hartland home is and remember our home was built in just over 100 hours, not months, but hours. The key to this unbelievable build is the ability of Hartland Homes to assemble the finest contractors in the Lincoln and surrounding areas and coordinate all their responsibilities to complete this build under record time restrictions. Not to mention having to comply with the needs of the filming crew from ABC. Our home has all the quality construction of a home that would have taken months to build. We daily pause and reflect on what an incredible experience this was for us, Hartland Homes and the Lincoln community.
We are the lucky ones and are grateful that we have met so many wonderful people along the way in this past year, many of which who are with Hartland Homes. Out of 91 homes built by Extreme Makeover Home Edition to date our build had the 4th shortest "punch list". Hartland Homes responded quickly to complete our list. We know that our home is built with the highest of quality materials and labor both. We are proud to live in such a beautiful home.”

Hartland's Garden Valley - Lincoln's first Fiber Optics to the Home Neighborhood
In September 2006 Hartland Homes, Inc. opened their newest model home in Hartland's Garden Valley , the first "fully fiber optic to the home" neighborhood in Lincoln . All Hartland Homes in this area will have fiber optics to the home providing the means for blazing-fast internet connection without the need of a modem, crystal clear telephone audio and digital television.

Duane Hartman bestowed prestigious honor: LIBA's Business Owner of the Year 
To succeed in business over a number of years requires ongoing vigilance, focus and hard work. A successful business contributes to our community in many ways and its owner deserves recognition for this. LIBA bestows this award to a business owner who exemplifies the "best" of what it takes to create and sustain a successful enterprise, serving as a prime example of business excellence. The 2006 Business Owner of the year is Duane Hartman, owner of Hartland Homes.
Hartland Homes Builds Public Restrooms for Optimist Club Ball Field
Also in 2006 Hartland Homes, Inc. worked together with the Lincoln Optimist Club in constructing public restrooms for the benefit of all who utilize the new Optimist Youth Sports Complex.
Hartland Homes donates to the Mitten Tree Project
Hartland Homes matches fundraising efforts of Arnold Elementary School Students
In 2005 after the tragic events of Hurricane Katrina, Hartland Homes, Inc. agreed to match dollar for dollar the total fundraising efforts of Arnold Elementary School students. This resulted in a sizeable donation to aid survivors and their families.
Hartland Homes celebrates 20 years and 2000 homes built!
In 2004 Hartland Homes, Inc. celebrated their 20th year of building communities in Lincoln . Hartland Homes, Inc. offered its buyers a chance to win a $5,000.00 Grand Prize, along with a multitude of second prizes in a drawing during their 20 th Anniversary Give Away Party!
Hartland Homes also closed on their 2000th home on November 1, 2004, exactly 20 years after we opened our doors!

Hartland Homes donates house to raise money for March of Dimes
In 1997 Hartland Homes, Inc., in conjunction with the March of Dimes organized a raffle to benefit research in the fight against birth defects. Hartland Homes and its subcontractors built and donated a brand new three bedroom home valued at over $130,000 for the Grand Prize drawing. During the course of the event, Hartland Homes, Inc. raised nearly $100,000.00 for March of Dimes.

In 1999 the Home Builders Association of Lincoln awarded Hartland Homes, Inc., their "Affordable Housing" award for excellence in its efforts in maintaining quality housing at affordable prices. 
Hartland Homes, Inc. is a member of the Better Business Bureau and has received both the silver and the gold awards of excellence in customer satisfaction.
